Biker Minions is putting the call out for riders with a spare pillion seat and for future backpacks who’d love to be part of the ride.

Not everyone has their own bike yet, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be part of the community, the laughs, the coffee stops, and the road ahead. So we want to get an idea of who in our crew might be open to offering a spare seat from time to time — and who might be keen to jump on the back and experience the ride with us.

This is an expression of interest post only — a way to see what kind of matches might be out there within the Biker Minions family.

If you’re a rider with a spare seat, drop a comment with:

  • Your bike make/model
  • Whether you’re happy to take a pillion occasionally or regularly
  • What riding you’re comfortable with (short rides, day trips, twisties, highway, social cruises, etc.)
  • Whether you have spare gear available (helmet, jacket, gloves, etc.)
  • Your general ride style/vibe

If you’re looking for a seat as a backpack, comment with:

  • Whether you’ve ridden pillion before or are brand new
  • Whether you have your own gear or need help getting sorted
  • What kind of rides you’d be interested in
  • What kind of bike you’d be most comfortable on (cruiser, touring bike, sports tourer, etc.)
  • Anything else that helps people know your vibe

This isn’t about pressure — it’s about building connections, opening doors, and making sure more people can be part of what Biker Minions is becoming.

So if you’ve got a spare seat… let the people know.
And if you’ve been wanting to get involved but don’t have your own bike… maybe this is your sign. 👀

Backpacks wanted. Good people wanted. Community wanted.
Let’s see what the Minion family can make happen.

💛 Follow the leader, Adult Style.

Kings Birthday Ride – A Day for the Ages https://bikerminion.club/kings-birthday-ride-a-day-for-the-ages/ https://bikerminion.club/kings-birthday-ride-a-day-for-the-ages/#respond Mon, 06 Oct 2025 14:45:53 +0000 https://bikerminion.club/?p=313 North and South, We took it all in!

The day kicked off well before dawn — 4:30am, to be exact. While most of Queensland was still tucked up in bed enjoying the public holiday sleep-in, a handful of dedicated riders — John, Josh, Chrissy, Sam, Mick, and Anthony — were already firing up their bikes, ready to make the most of the King’s Birthday. The destination? Kings Beach, Caloundra, for a sunrise cruise to start the day right.

The early morning chill bit through the leathers, but spirits were high as the engines roared to life. The ride up was smooth, the air crisp, and by the time the sun began to peek over the horizon, the crew found themselves overlooking the golden sands of Kings Beach — a picture-perfect moment of calm before the adventures to come. Cameras clicked, coffee flowed, and the laughter rolled just as freely as the waves beneath the rising sun.

After soaking in the morning rays, everyone went their separate ways for a few hours — taking their own little detours and mini-adventures — before regrouping later in the day for something a little more competitive: go-karting.

The afternoon session brought some new faces into the mix, with Bee, Olivia, David, and Cameron joining the ranks. The crew took to the track for four high-speed races full of friendly rivalry, spins, and plenty of banter. When the dust settled, Olivia emerged victorious, clocking in at 10th place overall for the week’s fastest lap, earning her bragging rights and the unofficial title of Fastest of the Biker Minions (on a go-kart but secretly on bikes also).

From there, the crew rolled over to the Sundowner Hotel in Caboolture to refuel — not the bikes this time, but themselves. Potato Skins, schnitzels, and a few cold bevvies made for the perfect pit stop. A few games of pool followed, with Anthony leaving the tables undefeated, proudly (and cheekily) declaring that he’d “never lost a game here” — mainly because it was, in fact, his first time at the place.

As the evening mellowed into night, Brad joined the convoy for the final stretch. The group took off again, cruising through Deception Bay, along the Redcliffe waterfront, and down into Sandgate — the ocean breeze keeping things cool and the vibe absolutely mint.

The ride capped off at Brisbane Airport, where the crew waited for a plane to take off — not for any reason other than to tick it off their unofficial “Ride Bingo” card (a challenge they didn’t even know existed until that very moment). When the jet finally thundered overhead, the group ride component was over and the satisfying sense that they’d done the King’s Birthday justice.

With the night winding down, engines turned toward home. It had been a spectacular day — one of those rare ones where every turn, every laugh, and every moment just clicked. The Biker Minions had pulled off another classic — a perfect mix of mateship, mischief, and memories.

Until the next ride…

Full Moon Dinner & Ride https://bikerminion.club/full-moon-dinner-ride/ https://bikerminion.club/full-moon-dinner-ride/#respond Wed, 10 Sep 2025 02:31:51 +0000 https://bikerminion.club/?p=242 Last night was one for the books. ✨

What started as a simple dinner meet and greet quickly turned into the full Biker Minion experience – complete with chaos, camaraderie, and plenty of laughs. Before we even sat down to eat, we had the fun, hectic pre-dinner ride to round up all our learners scattered across the north side of Brisbane – from the CBD all the way up to Caboolture. Somehow, against all odds, we managed to roll into the Full Moon Hotel at Sandgate within 5 minutes of each other. Not bad for a crew of 11 riders and 2 kids in tow!

Dinner was relaxed, the food hit the spot, and the conversation flowed just like it should when you’re surrounded by great company. But of course, the night didn’t end there. What followed was a long, fun-filled ride to drop everyone home – a haphazard, slightly chaotic, but completely unforgettable calamity that only a Biker Minion ride could deliver.

We had a few setbacks along the way, including a couple of spills. One of our own has now left hospital nursing a broken ankle (sending all the love and healing vibes your way 💛). But even with the bumps in the road, the night was defined by support, laughter, and the simple joy of being on two wheels together.

The ride was great, the company was even better, and the food served its purpose. Here’s to many more nights like this – minus the hospital visits! 🏍🔥

Ride Announcement: Coast to Country and Back Again https://bikerminion.club/ride-announcement-coast-to-country-and-back-again/ https://bikerminion.club/ride-announcement-coast-to-country-and-back-again/#respond Wed, 10 Sep 2025 01:55:38 +0000 https://bikerminion.club/?p=239 The road is calling, and this time we’re setting off from the heart of the Gold Coast at Movie World, ready for a full day of riding that’ll take us through valleys, over hills, and right into the heart of Brisbane’s northside.

This isn’t a quick dash — it’s an all-day open ride, designed for those who want to stretch their legs on the bike, take in the sights, and clock up some serious saddle time with mates.

From Movie World we’ll head out toward Beaudesert, rolling through the open country roads before cutting across to Fassifern. The landscape opens wide, the traffic thins, and it’s just bikes, mates, and the horizon.

From there we push further west through Pilton, where the ride really settles into its rhythm, before climbing up toward Esk. This will be our big stop — a proper lunch break to refuel both the bikes and ourselves. Expect plenty of chatter, a few laughs, and stories flying across the table.

Once we’re ready to roll again, we’ll ride north through Kilcoy, sweep through the bends of Dayboro, and dip into Samford before the final leg into Keperra. And to cap it all off, we’ll be sitting down together for dinner at Finnigans Chin — the perfect way to end a day on the road.

This ride is suited to experienced riders or learners with a moderate to high degree of confidence. The pace will be steady, the stops will be minimal, and the focus will be on enjoying the ride itself. With long stretches of open road and plenty of corners to keep things interesting, it’s the perfect way to test your endurance while still riding as a crew.

Date and time are open for discussion, but clear the diary — this will be a big one.

Fuel up, gear up, and get ready for a ride that’s all about mateship, motorbikes, and making memories on the long road.

Once again, check out Biker Minion on Facebook and let’s get this one going as well!

Upcoming Ride: Hills, Highways & Mateship on Two Wheels https://bikerminion.club/upcoming-ride-hills-highways-mateship-on-two-wheels/ https://bikerminion.club/upcoming-ride-hills-highways-mateship-on-two-wheels/#respond Wed, 10 Sep 2025 01:33:34 +0000 https://bikerminion.club/?p=237 Upcoming Ride: Hills, Highways & Mateship on Two Wheels

This one’s all about good company, easy roads, and the joy of being out on two wheels together. No rush, no pressure—just a casual all-day cruise for learners and seasoned riders alike.

We’ll start the journey at Old Petrie Town, warming up the bikes before cruising through Beerwah, rolling into the winding stretches of Montville, and soaking up the green beauty of Kenilworth.

A well-earned stop at the Kadanga Hotel will keep the energy up, with brunch, banter, and plenty of laughs. Then it’s onward to Handlebar Haven in Kilkivan, a true biker’s rest stop where the mateship shines almost as much as the chrome.

From there, we’ll aim for Farmhouse Coffee in Yarraman before sweeping back through Woodford and finally climbing into Mount Mee, where the corners flow like a ribbon and the views stretch forever.

This ride is about mateship and motorbikes—keeping a steady pace, enjoying the road, and making sure learners feel right at home. We’ll finish where we started, back at Old Petrie Town, with full hearts and fuller memories.

Date and time are still open for discussion, so throw in your availability and let’s lock it in.

So check out Biker Minion on Facebook, and let’s get a date sorted for this epic in the making ride event. Looking forward to seeing you out there and getting amongst it.

Tuesday Night Minion Ride: 400km, 13 Hours, and One Close Call with a Roo https://bikerminion.club/tuesday-night-minion-ride-400km-13-hours-and-one-close-call-with-a-roo/ https://bikerminion.club/tuesday-night-minion-ride-400km-13-hours-and-one-close-call-with-a-roo/#respond Thu, 04 Sep 2025 04:57:20 +0000 https://bikerminion.club/?p=189 When you’ve got a Tuesday night off work and a craving to ride, it’s only natural to rally the Biker Minions. What started as a casual evening cruise turned into a 400km adventure, full of winding roads, laughter, fuel stops, and even a kangaroo cameo.

The Roll-Out

Co-Ride Leader Anthony kicked things off from the northside of Brisbane around 5:30 pm, weaving from Caboolture through Dakabin, Deagon, Fortitude Valley, and Brisbane City. By the time we regrouped at Milton Maccas, the crew was forming nicely. After grabbing a few more friends, we headed out to Ripley to meet our other Co-Ride Leader, Vee.

A “not-so-brief” fuel stop later, and with the pre-ride banter complete, it was time to hit the open road.

The Route

From Ripley, we pushed through Peak Crossing to Boonah, across to Rathdowney, and into Beaudesert. Riders and bikes alike were well-fed at the local Maccas, and tanks were topped before the group naturally split — some followed Vee back via Ipswich, while others joined Anthony for the long haul north on the Mount Lindsey Highway.

That stretch led us back through the City, then north, and eventually all the way to Bribie Island. Somewhere near the bowls club, a certain Lindsey had a late night rendezvous with a kangaroo while slow-riding — just a reminder that wildlife doesn’t care if you’re on two wheels or four.

The Finish

The ride wrapped up with a hearty breakfast at H Cafe & Bar, a fitting reward after 13 hours on the road. With bellies full and the sun attempting to climbing higher, the final mission was ensuring our learner riders made it safely back to their “natural habitats.”

The Stats

  • Distance: ~400km
  • Duration: 13 hours (including food + fuel stops)
  • Highlights: Meeting new riders, great roads, night runs, and of course… that kangaroo encounter.

To all the Biker Minions who joined us — thanks for making it another unforgettable ride. And to those future Minions waiting for their first run, here’s a little teaser: enjoy the timelapse video of our departure from Ripley, QLD.

Until the next one — ride safe, ride together. 🏍💛
